I Miss My Friends: An Illustrated Poem

I Miss My Friends is a poem written by Dawn Lanuza during the year when everything had stopped in the whole world.
In the throes of the pandemic and lockdowns, we couldn’t see our family and friends for a long while.
Working with Ms Dawn on this project, we wanted to show the bleakness and loneliness one would feel without the presence of their loved ones.
We used black and white mostly for contrast: light and darkness, warmth and coldness, togetherness and isolation. We placed the main character by herself while being surrounded by things she missed the most like going to concerts with friends or traveling to new places.
